IF YOU ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 18, YOU MUST COMPLETE THIS COURSE (TLSAE) BY JULY 31, 2025.

The Florida DHSMV has recently changed the licensing and permit requirements for all individuals under the age of 18 years. The Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education (TLSAE) program will no longer be accepted for those under the age of 18 to fulfill the education requirement prior to taking the permit test after August 1, 2025. All individuals under 18 that complete the course by July 31, 2025 will be able to use the TLSAE course to get their driving permit.

There is no time completion requirement for individuals over the age of 18, and you may complete this course according to your timeframe. All individuals over the age of 18 are still required to complete this course in order to get a license in the state of Florida.

A student's failure to correctly answer a time-limited validation question will result in failure of the course, and the course fee will not be refunded.
